Project Type: Open-Air Tower
Location: Houston, Texas
Academic Work: University of Houston
Position: 1st Year Graduate in Architecture
Objective: To redefine a viewing tower to incorporate various gathering spaces.
Concept: Utilizing a traditional arch form derived from the site of the One Main Street Bridge crossing Buffalo Bayou, the tower began to emerge from the negative void space created by various Arches. This resulted in a 4-storey tower with bike storage, 360-amphitheatre, and various viewpoints into downtown Houston.
