In February 2018, 95 human remains were discovered in Sugar Land, Texas marking the first historic cemetery believed to be part of the convict-leasing program that began in the 1800s. This memorial is located at the site of Fort Bend ISD's James Reese Career and Technical Center.
This proposal aims to "give voice to the voiceless" and shed light on those individuals through the juxtaposition of light framework, and heavy mass walls.
